History, vision, and the people who serve
Lavhi Bk. Gram Panchayat is the local self-government body for the villages of Lavhi Bk., Lavhi Kh. (Awali), and Dadawadi, located in Rajgad Taluka (formerly Velhe) of Pune District, Maharashtra. The panchayat was established in 2009 to bring grassroots governance closer to our community.
Tucked into the foothills of the Sahyadri range, our villages share a deep agricultural heritage shaped by the Amba river, monsoon-fed forests, and centuries of life lived close to the land. The GP serves as the bridge between residents and government — handling local infrastructure, water, sanitation, schemes, and records.
With a population of around 500 across three wards, Lavhi Bk. is a small but tightly-knit panchayat — a place where every voice is heard.
A self-reliant, prosperous, and inclusive village community that honours its heritage while embracing sustainable development for future generations.
To deliver transparent governance, ensure access to clean water, sanitation, education, and livelihoods, and to preserve the cultural and ecological richness of our three villages.
